Ep. 189 - The Australia Effect

Hello lovelies, welcome back to 50 PLUS A TIP Podcast! 💕

As always, this episode begins with some life updates: Danica details her bum bleaching disappointments and shares tales of her long and desolate drive in the Australian outback. Meanwhile, a self-centered man “crunches the numbers” on his winery date and the Australia effect takes hold (Will Danica officially say goodbye to her lips and lashes?).  👄 

As for Riley, she is finally settled into her new place and has stopped living amongst boxes but is fighting some serious jetlag after having a blast visiting Danica in Australia. 🇦🇺 


As promised, the ladies have a long list of work updates for you finally! Riley managed to turn a bachelor party-crashing into a fun experience for all and gave a poor unsuspecting Kiwi the shock of his life in a dance. On the other side of the world, Danica endures a dance with a catfish from a dating app who points the finger unironically at others. The ladies commiserate over their experiences with deciphering hard to read customers - sir, do you hate this? Why do you keep extending?!  And battling off men with octopus arms. The work recaps end on a happy note, with the ladies sharing some wholesome interactions they’ve recently had at their respective clubs. 


The episode continues with two quizzes: “Select A Food For Each Color And We'll Tell You What Halloween Costume Matches You” and “Plan Your Perfect Christmas Day And I'll Tell You Your Christmas Aesthetic”. Danica is a sarcastic, straightforward, sex-postive feminist with a passion for topics that some may consider “taboo.” With a psychology degree under her belt, a public speaker/ university guest lecturer, a devoted sex workers advocate and a successful career as an exotic dancer - she knows some stuff!

Danica lives her life by two philosophies: 1) it’s better to have a life of “oh well”s than “what if”s and 2) be unapologetically you! Her years of experience as a sex worker have given her a passion and drive to do what she can to eliminate the dangerous stigma that currently surrounds the sex industry. She is confident that sharing her stories as an active sex worker can do just that - show women (and men) that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!

Riley

Riley is a down-to-earth, career dancer with over seven years in the industry. Originally from New Zealand and now based in Canada, her path began as a topless poker dealer and quickly grew into a dynamic career as an exotic dancer, dominatrix, and cam model. With a degree in statistics and currently pursuing a bookkeeping certificate, Riley plans to use her education to help others in the industry navigate their finances while challenging the stigma that surrounds sex work. A lifelong learner with a love for travel, she sees her career not just as a job, but as a platform to advocate, educate, and celebrate the freedom of owning one’s sexuality.
