Ep. 133 - Interview: Dyani DeVour & Bradley Love

Dyani DeVour (@buttonlegs on Instagram) started as a studio pole dancer in 2009 and became a stripper at the beginning of 2019 just after turning 30. She felt like she was having an early mid life crisis and knew the opportunity would pass her by if she didn’t jump on it. Dyani has been in the industry ever since and likes to play and eat fire. Her partner of 9 years Bradley Love is also a stripper! Bradley (@bradleylovexo on Instagram) had been a male stripper in the past, took many years away from it and recently came back about 8 months ago. He dances regularly for the Boys of Brandi’s at Brandi’s in Vancouver Canada and also entertains at private parties. Two stripper best friends sharing the highs and (b)lows of their experience in the adult entertainment industry, with some help from special guests along the way.

While harmful, incorrect stigmas sadly surround the sex industry, Danica and Riley trust that using their podcast platform to share their own experiences and give a voice to others along the way, they can give “outsiders” a glimpse of the real world of adult entertainment and show everyone that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!

About your hosts

Danica

Danica is a sarcastic, straightforward, sex-postive feminist with a passion for topics that some may consider “taboo.” With a psychology degree under her belt, a public speaker/ university guest lecturer, a devoted sex workers advocate and a successful career as an exotic dancer - she knows some stuff!

Danica lives her life by two philosophies: 1) it’s better to have a life of “oh well”s than “what if”s and 2) be unapologetically you! Her years of experience as a sex worker have given her a passion and drive to do what she can to eliminate the dangerous stigma that currently surrounds the sex industry. She is confident that sharing her stories as an active sex worker can do just that - show women (and men) that they can own their sexuality proudly (and sometimes even profit off of it)!

Riley

Riley is a down-to-earth, career dancer with over seven years in the industry. Originally from New Zealand and now based in Canada, her path began as a topless poker dealer and quickly grew into a dynamic career as an exotic dancer, dominatrix, and cam model. With a degree in statistics and currently pursuing a bookkeeping certificate, Riley plans to use her education to help others in the industry navigate their finances while challenging the stigma that surrounds sex work. A lifelong learner with a love for travel, she sees her career not just as a job, but as a platform to advocate, educate, and celebrate the freedom of owning one’s sexuality.
